The purpose of the Fellowship is threefold:
1 Peter 4:10: Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve (minister to) others, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
As we fellowship together, we seek to clarify and affirm our core commitments. The focus must be on our faith and life in Jesus Christ. Activities in this domain therefore address what it is in Christ that we want to protect, nurture and initiate. The outworking of this is a MINISTRY FOCUS, helping us to better minister to the needs of our students, parents, staff and broader community in Christ.
Colossians 1:17: In Jesus all things were made and hold together.
As a Christian School sector, the focus is to be on Christ’s order of things, including how we think, and thus how we relate. The types of activities in this domain will relate to interdisciplinary BIBLICAL LITERACY i.e. how the Bible relates to our Schools’ policies and practices, the subject disciplines, the program of teaching and learning, and the leadership of our School communities.
Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
As we work together in ministry that is both corporate and solitary, it is good to come together from time to time to hear each other’s stories, to share, to care, to pray, to encourage and to love each other. Here, Principals take the gifts of understanding and experience that God has given them, so that they may comfort and encourage each other in that ministry.
